Hello, my name is Karina.

I’ve never met a party I didn’t want to plan, a remodel I didn’t have a vision for, a garden I didn’t want to plant, or a friend I didn’t want to delight with a homemade meal. Decorating for the holidays is literally my favorite hobby and redecorating my house after the holidays is my second favorite. But just so you know, I wasn’t always like that. Mostly because I didn’t have the time or money to do so. Along the way, I’ve learned a lot…

Getting pregnant at 19 set my hubs and I on a path that was extra bumpy to say the least. But those days taught me how to be extra thrifty. When I am told, “That’s just something you can’t do” or have it's purely a motivator to get or do exactly that. Most of the time I was working with very limited funds and I became dependent on making stuff happen with my own two hands. And it helps that I have the handiest husband in the world! SO, 3 kids, 3 flipped homes and one construction company built from the ground up later, we’ve learned, together we can make just about anything happen.

 I have a cooking, designing, decorating, and crafting degree from the University of LIFE EXPERIENCE and have had friends and family encouraging me for years to share my “skills and ideas” with the world. With that in mind, I’m thinking of this site as the credentials for the previously mentioned degree and I look forward to sharing my projects and life hacks with you.

 We bought a small farm in 2018 and are learning things about country living we never knew we needed to know. Our home is constantly toggling between under construction and filled with guests. This adventure has added not just a new layer of challenges, but a new layer of adventure! So here we go!
