The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I LOVE the Holiday Season! I don’t just love Christmas day, or the 8 nights of Hanukkah, I LOVE the whole season!! I love decorating and music and parties and the crafting….all of the things that make JOY a number one priority.

Here are some clips from my holiday season of decorating and such.

I have collected a lot of decorations over the years. When it comes to deciding what to put where I decided years ago to decorate in themes. My kitchen gets all of the green trees. The living room gets all things metalic with some pops of black and white. The bar/dining room is the Santa room and there for gets all of the red and white decor.

The Santa Bar

Just one of the many places santas make an appearance in the Bar/Dining turned Santa Bar.

Dining Table

Canisters can be filled with anything. It’s a perfect holiday centerpiece. These are filled with fake berries, festive confetti, and ornaments.

Window Accents

Windows are a perfect place to put your decorations over the top. I love having outlets at the bottom of my windows to make the magic really happen even at night.

Kitchen Island

Green trees are the theme of the kitchen, and my tree collection is featured in the middle of this large island. I use a variety of heights and textures to add interest.

Trees everywhere

The shelves in my kitchen are both functional and decoration. Here, trees find their way to the shelves to bring the decor all the way through the kitchen.

Metallic Tree Forest

Metallics are the theme in the living room. So I’ve collected all of my metallic trees and stars to make this festive forest.

This year’s theme is black wrapping with twine ribbon. I added pop with my chalk marker. It often created a longer wrapping session than was needed but they all looked so cute under the tree. And everyone had a one of a kind package.

This wrap can be adjusted and used year round for all presents! You could just change the pictures and the ribbon to make it fit the occasion!

Flowers are an important part of my home decor year round and the Christmas season is no exception. Here is a fun holiday arrangement from this year. The cabbage blended with the berries create contrast in texture and color. Another bonus is both of these lasted for almost two weeks!

The true purpose of baskets

I love having baskets all over for the variety of seasonal blankets for my guests. But their true purpose is for holding cute kittens

Pay it Forward

The Delivery people find their way all the way out to our place at least once a day during the season. Why not share the love with some snacks and drinks?!

Always have a gift

This year I made these live plants in fancy glass containers. I had them around my house for my special guests and friends. You know there is always someone who you forgot to get a gift for and having these on hand is one way to make sure you are never missing a beat of the holiday drum.
